DeJonghe Sanitation was started in 1937 by Morris DeJonghe. Making DeJonghe Sanitation the oldest Sanitation Company in the County. We also Hold the Very First Septage License in Lenawee County Michigan 46-01.

In 1962 Larry DeJonghe bought the Business from his father Morris and was owned by Larry until 2002 when Matt DeJonghe Bought the Septic Pumping portion of the Business from his father. Larry continued to do Septic tank & field installations until 2009 when he retired. Then in 2011 Matt married Misty Soss and once again made it a true family owned business. Together they run the business and have expanded to include septic tank and field inspections. We still hold the same number for our state license, we are insured with the correct insurance for all the business we do and we are bonded. Matt has over 30 years experience in this business. The most in Lenawee County.

They are both members of the Michigan Septic Tank Association. Misty had served on the board of Directors for MSTA (Michigan Septic Tank Association) for 4 consecutive years. Misty was Chair of the Michigan Onsite Waste Water Conference, (2013 &2014) along with being the Lenawee County Septage Haulers Liaison. Together they pride themselves with knowing the rules and regulations of the business, and staying up to date with the changes. They believe education is the best tool in the box.
